Apache Hive : HPL/SQL - CURRENT_USER Function

CURRENT_USER function returns the name of the user executing the current HPL/SQL script.

Syntax:

CURRENT_USER | CURRENT USER 

Return Type:

STRING

Example:

Get the current user:

CURRENT_USER

paul
